Public Employee Council election: Nomination round between 7-21 January 2019.

The mandate of the Civil Servants Council currently operating at the University of Szeged expires at the end of February 2019. For the organization and conduct of the election, the current Civil Service Council of 10.12.2018. On the 5th of March, they decided to set up an Electoral Committee (VáB), and at the same time he invited Dr. Kálmán Gyenes to perform the duties of the President of the VáB.

The election consists of two rounds (nomination and election), in which a new 13-member Public Employee Council will be elected for five years at the university.

Why is the work of the Civil Service Council important?

On the basis of the relevant statutory regulations, the Civil Service Council exercises the rights of participation (information request, codecision, opinion and consent) on behalf of the public servants of the University.

Who can choose?

All public servants in the civil service of the university have the right to choose a part-time and senior public servant. In the case of additional civil servants, if the employer is the university.

A person who does not work at the employer in the context of a civil servant relationship, but a civil law relationship (eg an assignment relationship) may not participate in the election.

Who  is selected?

Any civil servant in a public service relationship with a university if he has been an employee of the University for at least six months. However, he cannot be elected as a member of the CC, who is exercising the employer’s right, who is the (senior) relative of the employer, and who is a member of the Electoral Committee (VáB).

 

The list of public servants with the university can be found on the homepage of the University of Szeged („SZTE Public Employee Council election 2019” menu item, the contact list can only be accessed from the university’s IP address), and it is also available in printed form in the office of the Public Employees Council (6725 Szeged, Lajos Tisza krt. 103.). If an employee notices that bar the universities are public servants, but his name was not on the list, possession of a certificate procured GF Labor and Personnel Allocations Bureau – up to give himself to the civil list – the Public Employees Council office.

What are the key dates?

The period between 7 and 21 January 2019 is available for official nominations.

The election will take place on 25 February 2019 (Monday), 26 (Tuesday) and 27 (Wednesday) every day from 9 am to 4 pm.

How is the nomintion procedure done?

– Nominees may be nominated by a trade union representative of the University, or by at least 50 eligible employees who sign the signature with their signature. The label must be submitted as a candidate.

– In the case of trade union nomination, the nomination form submitted shall contain the name of the nominating organization, the name of the candidate, date of birth, position, place of employment, the employment of a civil servant at the University of Szeged or its predecessor.

– In the case of individual employee nominations, the label includes the candidate’s name, date of birth, job, place of employment, the beginning of his / her employment status at the Socialist or Predecessor, and the name (readable), signature and place of work of at least 50 persons employed by him / her.

– Candidate claimants must attach the candidate’s statement of acceptance to their proposal containing the fact of the nomination, stating that the person concerned undertakes the nomination and declares that the law is not valid (lack of ability to act, less than six months of employment with the employer, exercise of employer’s rights, member of the current employer of VÁB) does not exist.

– Nominations may be submitted in writing to the KT Office (6725 Szeged, Tisza Lajos krt. 103) no later than 12 noon on 21 January 2019, addressed to the Chairman of the VáB.

– Simultaneously with the nomination (but no later than 12.00 on the 8th of February), you can attach the candidate (max. 6 lines, Times New Roman font size 12) and the candidate’s program (max. 5 lines, Times New Roman 12 font size) ) a text that can help voters to choose between candidates.

 

The nomination shall be valid if the number of candidates is at least as high as the number of the body to be elected, ie at least 13 persons. In case of invalid marking, the deadline for nomination shall be extended by the VAM up to 15 days and postponed to a maximum of 30 days.
